My Great Alligator
Poem made June 25, 2026 inspired by listening to The Great Alligator Theme after a night out.
Drowned by the rain dance in echo room
Walking out legs strangled by wet Levi’s
Clocks strikes 12, it’s a new day, boom
Still the same old me, that’s no surprise
Whipping a white scion, roles reversed
An orchestra plays, my speakers rehearsed
Look to my right, seat empty no occupation
A Bittersweet taste, having no shared relation
Reflecting, no other side to capture
Torn apart like Osiris, tears are from isis
Cutting away the reel/real, I hate the feature
The audience is thrilled, can’t see my crisis
Drifting down hwy 85, but my hearts unpaved
Bottled up mind in a jam, this feels jarring
The Game goes on, but there’s nothing saved
Parked like a K.O , this spirit's still Sparring
